Honor Truth is a call to be aware of our perceptions.
We are aware of how our perception of what Truth is just that, our perception.
Then, we give our perception over to the possibility of having our awareness transformed.
This can only happen when we are truthful about our perceptions of what is.
Then we open the door to the possibility that there is more than what we currently perceive.
Our life IS different than our current perception!
The possibility for fullness is a probability. NO! It is a promise.
When we open to our wholeness, the transformation of our whole life begins.

It's also a blog for those who wish to use the moon cycles as a pathway to connect with their own spiritual life, and with all of creation. Getting Help Changing My Perspective
Carolyn shares--day two: Today, I recognize I am already part of Truth. Perhaps I am Truth in a development stage. If so, then so are all my fellow human beings. In all of creation elements of the Truth are present. In my history and yours, elements of Truth are present. And sometimes, I perceive Truth bursting forth in fullness: holding a newborn grandchild or seeing the crocus blooming in the snow, or having an 'ahah' moment. Sometimes, I cannot perceive any Truth at all: the many faces of violence in our world (though, I sense there is a seed for truth, even there).
In this month of Honor Truth. I sit with myself, my feelings, my preferences. I am not finished yet. I can sit and be with what is. I can give space for the Truth of my own being, the Truth in my relationships, the Truth for my potential (Creator's vision for my life), and the Truth for the world to be revealed.
Self-Reflection: I take time to acknowledge a Truth which has burst into my life to bless and encourage me. How do I bless and honor this Truth in return?

On Asking for Help in Changing My Perspective
Carolyn's personal reflection: I can only be with truth from the space of my current perspective. This is 'truth' as I currently see it. It seems the only place I can start from, my current perspective. However, as I sit in the place of being, honoring 'what is' from my perspective, clarity comes in. There are as many perspectives as there are people in the world. Not one of us occupies exactly the same space, so we all must have, at the very least, a slightly different perspective on everything. What chaos comes from all of this. Certainly this is part of my life experience! It is comforting to know that my perspective is not the end all-be all. That means neither is anyone else's. Whew! What a relief. Today, I sit with curiosity about what perspective is True, is Truth. I can't grasp this perspective. It is way too big for my little brain. In my meditation, I ask for my perspective to shift so I have more clarity about my own life and my place and part in the world. I don't need to know it all, not right now, not ever. Just enough for the next step in the rhythm and cycle of my life. I am beginning to feel myself a part of the rhythm and cycle of Life itself, too.

Rhythms Within in Rhythms, Cycles WIthin Cycles
In all spiritual teachings, the naming and claiming of Truth leads the followers toward the Divine One, toward Love. The role of moon cycles and rhythms in the rhythm of 'being' are also woven through these traditions. All spiritual teachings, include teachings on the seasons and rhythms of life. The teachings around the cycles of the moon are interpreted to be creative and building in the first half of the cycle, up to the full moon, and dismantling and releasing in the waning aspects of the moon. To be healthy and thrive, we must learn to work with these smaller rhythms that are within the larger rhythm of our life; being aware of the natural tendency to be reflective and inspiring during the first two weeks, and be more actively expressive and letting go what no longer serves us, in the last two weeks of the cycle.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3

Self Reflection: In this cycle to Honor Truth, how can I honor my own rhythms? How can I come to know my rhythms more clearly?

How To Become Willing to Honor Truth
The concepts of Truth in other spiritual and cultural teachings are broad and deep. As we sit in this cycle that is calling us to honor Truth, we honor what it is we currently are able to see as truth. We invite more knowing to coming in as it is appropriate, as we are ready, able and willing to know more. First, though, we sit in the space of where we are willing to be with what presents itself to us. When we sit with this attitude, we can find ourselves more wiling and able to 'taste' what we become aware of. This is the beginning of 'knowing'. This time prepares us to be in the world in ways that reveal who we are when we live from the Truth of our being.
Self Reflection: Is there anything blocking my willingness to honor what I currently experience, believe, am aware of in my life? If so, I can seek support from my own spiritual tradition, or a wise guide or teacher.

Honoring Truth in Our Own Being
The energy of this moon cycle invites us to learn the art of remembering--where we come from, how we are connected, our dreams, our hopes, what we have learned--sounds like a life review. It is. In The 13 Original Clan Mothers Jamie Sams shares how the grandmother for this moon cycle offers an opportunity to work with the arts of remembering and self-development and visioning; honoring both the collective ancient wisdom and our own memories, experiences and beliefs, dreams. When we sit in an intention of 'honoring' what is we learn a safe and healthy way to 'remember'. And, yes, self development is an art. It develops as we work with it, use it, play with it, allow it.
Self Reflection: Do I see my self-development as an art? If 'yes' how can I grow in this art? If 'no', what would change in my life if I shifted my perception? For now, in this waxing phase of the cycle, just take time in awareness of how you are with caring for yourself, being with yourself. (this is part of 'remembering') Ask for awareness and willingness to see 'what is'. This allows for needed creative change to come in; in good time.
