Am I Willing to Have Awareness of the Effects of How I Live My Life?

It is by our daily living, more than by our great accomplishments and achievements that we Live Truth and have a real power to influence the course of human consciousness.   Our daily living, our thoughts, feelings, words and deeds create the template for living on this planet for the seven generations to come.   It is not a question of whether or not a template for the future will be created, the only question is what the template will be.

We each have a template for our own unique being.  The path of Live Truth is a path of increasing awareness of our unique template for this life:  What gifts we bring, what grace we offer, what beauty we are in this world.  We have choice to add honor, peace, ease and beauty to the template of future generations.  Or, we can lay down lines of hatred, prejudice, greed, ugliness and deprivation in the pattern being created for future generations.

Self-Reflection: Each day I add a piece of code for the future. As I come to the end of the day I have a chance to review what I have contributed and amend it if needed, before it causes harm to another or to myself.  Am I willing to use the mystical energy of twilight time to ensure there is harmony in my relationships, my home, my Self?

On Living Truth with Intention

I am intentional about my life with my thoughts and words in these two ways:
1) about what I want to create in my life, and
2) with awareness that what I think and say impacts the lives and well being of others.

From this place, I consider the needs of future generations:
1) I play my part in the evolution of human consciousness.
2) I stay aware of connection and unity.
3) I treat everything as sacred.
4) I am a conscious parent, mentor and role model.
5) I trust in the bigger picture.

Serving Truth Requires Balance

Sara writes: To Serve Truth, I must have balance.  I cannot sustainably fulfill my calling if I do not feed all the necessary parts of my life and my self.  My list of cyclically neglected parts includes; body care (nutrition, exercise, sleep, medical), relaxation, fun, creative work, time with loved ones, meeting my commitments, financial stewardship and nurturing my business.

To have balance, I must have both awareness and discipline.  I must make conscious choices.  I must be honest with myself about the consequences of those choices.  Then, I must stay on track and follow through with my choices.  A couple years ago, it came to me that "Discipline is integrity in working clothes "Discipline is integrity in working clothes".   I am gradually learning that when I have a choice between 'doing what feels good' and 'doing what makes me feel good about myself', the latter is almost always the choice that is in alignment with my Purpose.

Self Reflection:  Do I feel the difference between 'doing what feels good' and 'doing what makes me feel good about myself'?

The Integrity and Humility of Speaking a Hard Truth

Carolyn shares:  There are so many times when it would be easier to not speak a truth.
It's easy to keep silent when someone else is blamed for something I did.  I remember the time my grandson was yelled at by his father for moving the dog's water bowl. The little guy began to cry. I would have liked to slink into a corner myself and be quiet about my deed, not wanting the wrath of my stepson, who likes things orderly, have one more thing I did that was aggravated him. But I acknowledge my deed.

It's easy to tell a different story when we forget, are absent minded and we have inconvenienced or disappointed another person. There was the time I spaced on my agreement to have breakfast with a friend. I didn't forget. It was on my calendar, but when I checked, I couldn't connect the name to any event.  When my friend finally called, I really didn't want her to know why I was not there.  I thought about not picking up the phone. But I answered and spoke the truth of my error.

How about going for a medical check-up and are asked to fill out the 'patient information form'. The part where they ask how much alcohol or coffee is consumed and how often. I have fudged on that one. I never want to admit I smoked in college, so I have left that off, too. Not telling the truth about these things harmed me, no one else.

I have a lot of stories like this. I imagine most readers do. My first couple vignettes may make me look somewhat saintly in my misspoken words, but I am hardly so!  There are many times I did not speak my truth, and the lie or silence was perceived as the truth for a long time. Some of my brushes with keeping a lie as the face of truth were much worse, had bigger consequences than others.  I won't tell those stories here! Since I have been on this path of Truth, I have spoken up about most of them to the people they need spoken to. In doing so I have suffered the loss of some relationships.  Thankfully, most of the time, my amends were received with appreciation for my willingness to set things right.

I would like to be impeccable with my words.  It's a process, I am definitely not perfect.  Yet, I have committed to living the Cycles of Truth as part of my path. Now, I  notice times when I am going to say something and the words stick in my throat. Often when I check myself, I'm getting some 'guidance' on speaking truth.

Self Reflection: Not Speaking Truth harms me the most. What are the areas of my life where I am inclined to hedge my truth?
